For this workshop we are thinking a lot about water, the sound and the shapes and the changing seasons, liquidity and mess. We would like to offer a slow workshop, starting with a period of stillness and listening, moving into body energy and playing with water instruments that were made during our ceramics residency in Lesmurdie, while spending time at Jerrabinyan (Lesmurdie falls). Regional Quick Response artist-in-residence, Moses Mohammed Kington-Walberg, invites you to drop into Studio 2 at PICA for an afternoon of mutually inspired sound and art. During his residency, Moses is working with musical instruments, found objects, field recordings, photography and Eucalyptus branches from his family farm to create an immersive and interactive sound-garden. “I’ve tried to play as freely and eclectically as I can using simple materials.
