WWIM presents: Exploring Sounds with Contact Mics and Found Objects is a free, introductory workshop designed for young people (aged 16-25) to experiment with contact microphones and create improvised sounds using objects. A contact microphone senses audio vibrations through contact with solid objects, unlike normal microphones that sense audio vibrations in the air. For this workshop we are thinking a lot about water, the sound and the shapes and the changing seasons, liquidity and mess.
