'an intervening space, especially a very small one' is a new body of work built upon a collaboration between visual artist Tessa Beale and composer Daniel Harrison in response to the Dwerda Weelardinup (Cantonment Hill) site. The artists are interested in the transient nature of observed shifts in light, shadow, texture and movement and the potential for quiet moments encountered in nature when in unhurried time. Composer Dan Harrison shares his methods and creative process with participants in this workshop. Walking around Dwerda Weelardinup (Cantonment Hill), participants will gather field recordings using their personal devices and return to the gallery where Dan will run through his editing process using the material captured by the group.
