Tone List presents the third concert in our ad-hoc series for experimental music, upstairs at PS in Walyalup/Fremantle. The collective MG create work reflecting a shared interest in world building, alternative cosmology, experimental lorecraft, and situated transgression. They have integrated video, musical improvisation, drag performance, noise, light, wet materials, spoken word and written word, and embodiment practices. Join composer and sound artist Elizabeth Millar to explore a variety of historical graphic scores and alternative forms of musical notation including images, video and text. Discussion will be interspersed with group playing. In the second workshop we will explore further examples and workshop graphic scores proposed by group members. 'an intervening space, especially a very small one' is a new body of work built upon a collaboration between visual artist Tessa Beale and composer Daniel Harrison in response to the Dwerda Weelardinup (Cantonment Hill) site. The artists are interested in the transient nature of observed shifts in light, shadow, texture and movement and the potential for quiet moments encountered in nature when in unhurried time.
