As part of my* residency at Nanulgarup/gallop house, I will be hosting four gatherings at the house to eat and drink together, and listen to some music by outstanding local independent musicians. Following their open studio and artist talk, Jimi DePriest will present a Sunday afternoon workshop on SuperCollider—an open-source software environment and dynamic programming language used by musicians, artists, and researchers working with sound for audio synthesis and algorithmic composition. The 3-hour workshop is intended to provide participants with an introduction to the audio program ahead of producing a practical outcome.
