SUMMARY:Audible Edge '26 Program Launch
DESCRIPTION:“The best thing in Boorloo every year.” \n“The only festival I’ve been to that leaves me with more energy after a set than when I arrive.” \n“Just joyful. I could not fault anything with the way it was run.” \nAudible Edge (AE) returns for 2026! Be the first to hear about the AE’26 program by attending our program launch at Patio Bar in Walyalup/Fremantle. \nAudible Edge is an artist-led\, international festival of exploratory music. It’s held annually on Whadjuk boodja since 2017. This year it will take place entirely in Victoria Hall in Walyalup/Fremantle from May 1 to 3. That’s three days overflowing with extremely good and strange music\, a wholesome\, warm atmosphere\, dances\, treats\, sessions and strolls. \nFor the program launch\, we’re pleased to invite Rose KB (Fringe World Tour Ready Award\, 2026) to host a live talk show\, throwing curveball questions at your festival curators and artists from this year’s program. A fun\, slightly unhinged way to get an insider’s look at what will happen in this year’s festival. Come gather with us and make your festival plan with your mates. \nBefore and after the interviews\, hang out\, read the program together\, have something to eat and drink and enjoy selections and improvisations by Ben Aguero & Nelson Mondlane of Myriad Sun. \nThe launch event is free\, but you can nab an advance festival pass now\, or donate to the Audible Edge Seed Fund to help make new works by WA artists happen in this year’s festival. (You may note that this event’s program consists of two past Seed Fund artists 💪). \nEvent schedule\n6:00pm — Myriad Sun DJs \n7:00pm — Rose KB & special guests \n8:00pm (ish) — Myriad Sun DJs \n9:00pm (ish) — fin. \nThe venue is open from 4pm—late; you’re most welcome to come early and stay after. \nAccessibility\n\nPatio Bar is wheelchair accessible. The space will likely be crowded and busy\, so please consider and prioritise access for the people around you. There will be some dedicated free spaces for mobility aid-users\, who are also welcome to change these seating arrangements around. Be conscious of not standing/leaving your things in places that might block accessibility for others.\nThe space is well-ventilated and open to the outdoors.\nAlcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks\, and food\, are available at the venue (menus on their website).\nLighting will be dim and warm. No strobes or fast flashing lights will be used.\nThe music may be loud and stimulating at times.\nSeating is available throughout the space (bar stools and lower table seating). The event will likely involve a seated audience closer to the performance\, with bar stools and standing room further back\, and more seating in the outdoor area.\nTone List have a small accessibility budget set aside for any attendees who need financial assistance in order to attend. That could be to pay a support person to come with you\, or to get an uber to and from the venue door. Get in touch with us at info@tonelist.com.au.\n\nAcknowledgments\nTone List operates on Whadjuk Noongar boodja: sovereign Country for eternity. We pay respects to Elders and custodians across time. We dream of a culture of sounding & listening which supports restorative justice and the Lore of the land. \nTone List and AE’26 are principally supported by the WA government through the Department of Cultural Industries\, Tourism & Sport (CITS)\, with additional support from the City of Fremantle\, the Australian Cultural Fund\, Audio Foundation\, Liquid Architecture\, Culture Ireland and Fremantle Small Projects. \nGraphic design by Michael Gunson (Mike Midnight).
