SUMMARY:Decibel + Lionel Marchetti - Inland Lake
DESCRIPTION:We’re back at The Rechabite\, Perth on 6 November with Inland Lake (le lac intérieur) – a 45-min electroacoustic work composed in 2022 by Lionel Marchetti in collaboration with Decibel.Written for ensemble and partition concrète – a fixed media part that functions as score\, soundtrack\, and ensemble member. Instruments weave in and out of a multi-speaker sound field\, threaded with harmonicas\, ocarinas\, singing bowls\, strings and winds in a performance that reimagines ‘acoustic ambient’ form.The work is accompanied by Karl Ockelford’s film\, created for the Room40 release\, with new 3D projection design by Sohan Ariel Hayes.One performance only – we’d love to see you there.
