Known as the “devil from the East\,” Yoshida has contributed to shaping the underground scene with his virtuosic drumming and boundary-pushing musical projects.\nA key figure in Japanese experimental music\, Yoshida founded the renowned rhythm duo Ruins in 1985 and has since been involved in critically acclaimed groups such as Koenji Hyakkei\, Zeni Geva and Acid Mothers Temple. The drummer has worked with the entire avant-garde ‘hall of fame’ of the last four decades\, from Fred Frith and Derek Bailey to Keiji Haino and Otomo Yoshihide.
