SUMMARY:Lyndon Blue Live "Album Leak" / Cathie Travers
DESCRIPTION:After a year spent (mostly) absent from local stages\, weird-pop songmaker Lyndon Blue returns – microphone and bass guitar in hand\, expanded live band in tow – to mount an X-tra special show on October 19th at Fremantle’s Victoria Hall.\nThe limestone and timber walls of this beloved High Street building have borne witness to a hell of a lot of dances\, parties\, concerts and get-togethers in the hall’s 128-year history. Still\, we’d wager it’s never played host to a show quite like this\, bringing together frenzied post-punk and lovingly layered art-pop from the six-piece LB ensemble\, electronic experiments and bubbling accordion melodics from local legend CATHIE TRAVERS in support\, and anything-goes selections from DJ Ben Agüero + more.\nTickets on sale **soon!** via Humanitix – $15 Early Bird / $20 General Release\nLimited tix may available be on the door on the night.\n* * *\nThis event takes place in Walyalup\, on Whadjuk Noongar boodja. Most of us are settlers on Aboriginal land\, visitors on land and waterways that have been cared for by the Whadjuk people for millenia. We’re grateful to perform here\, and pay respect to local Birdiyas and First Nations lineages of song\, community and tending to country. As you come and go\, please respect the boodja accordingly.\nAccessibility\, Travel and Venue Details:\nVictoria Hall is located 550m from Fremantle train station\, and directly adjacent to Transperth bus stops.\nEntry is via the glass door on High St.The entrance to the hall is on your left. You can enjoy a drink at the bar before entering the space.\nThe venue’s main hall / performance space is wheelchair accessible\, however\, toilets (in the rear courtyard) are down several small steps. Accessible toilets are available next door at H&C Urban Winery.\nLimited free parking is available on High St.Accessible parking can be found on Parry Street\, 400m from the space.
