DESCRIPTION:SINE is the provocation of sound made visual. SINE is a mathematical series where the operation adds infinite quantities to a given equation. Mathematics\, music and visual art expand common threads of thinking and expression around thoughts of order. \nArtist\, musician\, maker combine to mediate expressions through material object\, instrument\, performance\, and the graphic to form the exhibition SINE at Wallace. SUMMARY:Sound Exploration Fremantle: "Red Hot Go" with Lyndon Blue
DESCRIPTION:For their SEF workshop this month\, Lyndon Blue invites you to share in a spirit of playfulness and genre-anarchy at Sullivan Hall. The afternoon will feature a revival of Lyndon’s 2016 ensemble experiment ‘Red Hot Go’ – in which participants are required to attempt specific ideas on wholly unfamiliar instruments – as well as exploration into “game pieces\,” and the strange art of improvising songs. \nLyndon Blue is a musician from Boorloo/Perth with a focus on composition and recording\, and an instrumental background in violin and double bass. They have performed and released music locally and internationally\, under their own name and guises such as Leafy Suburbs\, Solar Barge\, and Heathcote Blue. Lyndon’s musical output appears in past\, present and intermittent collaborations including Spice World\, Methyl Ethel\, Seams\, Spirit Level\, Vanishing Island Group\, Moses & Blue and many more. Though their main interest lies in the construction and deconstruction of song-forms\, Lyndon has been a regular improviser in Boorloo and Naarm and composed for theatre\, dance\, film\, and installation works. They are currently Music Curator at Goolugatup Heathcote Gallery\, Applecross and a regular presenter on RTRFM’s Difficult Listening show. \nentry by donation: $10/15/20\n(all contributions go towards paying the professional musicians who guide our workshops and to rental for the hall) \nThe Sullivan Hall is wheelchair accessible with accessible bathrooms.
