Lose yourself in a sonically immersive performance inspired by our most precious resource – water. Join Sunny Kim’s Ensemble Ochaye for Water Song, a night of storytelling, personal mythologies and deep cultural connection.
Ensemble Ochaye features some of Australia’s most adventurous musicians and improvisors. Sunny Kim is joined by Aviva Endean, Gelareh Pour, Mindy Meng Wang and Zoe Barry in a dynamic intercultural exchange generating a musical language that celebrates diversity.
Water Song is a captivating performance that weaves deep cultural narratives, portraying water as a conduit of connection and renewal. You’re invited to partake in a collective ritual through the power of sonic symbolism. Korean, Chinese, Iranian and western instruments – including the guzheng, kamancheh, qeychak, clarinet, and cello – come together to create a richly textured soundscape that transcends boundaries.
