It’ll be a massive banger – and so much fun!

The BOOM! International Festival of Percussion runs from 26-28 September at WAAPA.   It’s three full days of musical bliss – featuring concerts, masterclasses, hands-on workshops and late-night events presented by Australia’s most prodigious performers of the percussive arts.

You can drum up a storm in five hands-on creative workshops on African drumming, Marimbas, Brazilian samba, Japanese taiko drums, clay flowerpots and more…

And hear Swiss superstar Fritz Hauser perform alongside the legendary Synergy Percussion, WAAPA’s own Defying Gravity, Pavan Kumar Hari, Louise Devenish, Joey Eng, Daniel Susnjar, Thea Rossen, Adam Tan, Gabrielle Lee, Paul Tanner, Carissa Soares, Rebecca Lloyd Jones, DJ Rosie Taylor, and Australia’s next generation of percussion giants.
